This hotel has a championship eighteen hole course and a regulation nine hole course. Both courses are situated on rugged, hilly terrain and offer breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and Bow River. The rolling fairways can create awkward lies and the greens, while only slightly undulating, are difficult to read. The signature hole is #4 on the Stanley Thompson Course, a 199-yard, par 3, nicknamed "The Devil's Cauldron." One of the most photographed holes in the world, it features a 100-foot drop from tee to green and plays across a crystal-clear, glacier-carved lake. The long, unkempt rough places an emphasis on accuracy.

| The golf course is situated around Mt. Rundle. A number of years ago Golf Digest was rating resort golf courses all over the world-They said that on a pretty spring day, you will not find a more scenic and enjoyable golf course to play in the world. I have played this course in 1980 and 1996 and both times, really enjoyed myself. Even your bad shots look good. The course is really challenging-2 par 3 holes over 220 yards. I must agree with the Golf Digest! However, I might be a little prejusticed-my last name is Rundle. Watch out for the ELKS!! |
