| I have played the Kingsway several times and except in early spring when the back nine is under water the conditions are always excellent.
The greens and fairways are always in pristine condition. I love the fact that they have planted flowers all atound several of the tee boxes. It just goes to show they are very concerned with all the details.
My one issue with the course is the fact that most of the doglegs are bordered by short trees and that most golfers can easily fly over the corners. They should plant some more massive trees which would make the course much more challenging. On these holes it's easy to just hit driver over the trees and hit a short iron into the green. With more massive trees these holes would require more course management. You would need to hit a fairway wood or long iron off the tee and then would require a long iron into the green.
All is all the course is great and much nicer than some of the surronding courses such as the Champlain, Gatineau and les Vieux Moulins. And even though it is not a scenic as the Chateau Cartier its also a better bargain for the dollar. |
