| "I played this course in August 2007 and found it to be well below the standard for this area. The greens are large and in fairly good condition, but the fairways are very poor. Winter rules are definitely in effect here during the entire season even though it is not stated in the local rules. The condition of the fairways indicates neglect and/or poor maintenance over the last few years. I have played several courses in this area (Terrebonne, Mascouche and Laval) and all are far superior. At $37.00 (weekdays) the green fees at the Lorraine Golf Club are exorbitant and far above ($10 or more) those of the other courses that I have played. Also, there are several minor annoyances, such as conflicting yardage distances for all holes (particularly frustrating for the par 3's); no practise swings permitted on the tee boxes; and over zealous marshals. This club requires some investment and improved management to bring it up to par. I was extremely disappointed with this course and give it a failing grade. NOT RECOMMENDED." |

In talking with the locals there are rumours that the course will be sold to developers which may explain why little investment is being made to make improvements. | Golf course is very accessible from the highway and from the West Island takes me 20 /25 min to get to course. People are friendly and keep the course in good condition. Looking to possibly join for year 2008. Rates are fair for what is being offered out there. I find course extremely challenging especially the back nine. One day I wll try and bogey hole #18---very hard |
