This course opened its original nine holes in 1918 before another nine was added in 1980, hence the course has diverse characteristics from the old to the new. The surrounding terrain is mountainous with the course set in a valley. The new nine holes are quite hilly and have mature trees throughout the landscape. The older holes are rather flat, however both nines are fairly wide. Some of the greens are quite large and undulating. Water comes into to play on four holes.

| Located in the Southwest corner of Alberta this little known course appears to be fairly open and basic course but what you cannot see is a perfect testament to the game of golf. This course has it all! First, it's $42.00 on weekends, $38.00 weekdays. The course has not yet been "discovered" so bookings are easy. The course is a mountain course that is hard to describe. You need to go to their web site to actually see all the holes in the virtual shot-by-shot tour at www.CrowsnestPassGolf.com. You get 18 truly different holes in a spectacular setting. It is rated high in difficulty yet playbable by all at any caliber. #4 is a spectacular downhill par 3. #10 is a great uphill par 4. All 18 holes are challenging and leave you with that "I want to play this one again" thought. Those that play immediately plan to return soon. Do not miss this course on your tour through Southern Alberta. |
