This twenty-seven hole facility plays its three nines, the Pointe Course, the Heritage Course, and the Desert Course, in three eighteen hole combinations. The Pointe Course was built into the natural terrain of the foothills. A unique hole on the Pointe Course is #9, which features a spruce tree forest that frames the green. Trees line one side of the fairways, while the other sides are open. The Desert Course is a links-style design that is typical of Palm Springs or Scottsdale. A popular hole on this course is #8, a par 4, which features twelve pot bunkers guarding the green. The Heritage Course has many elevation changes. The first hole requires a downhill tee shot that drops 200 feet from tee to valley floor. The greens on all three nines are average in size. Course designer Ron Garl describes this facility as "the finest golf course I have ever created." The facility was ranked 21st among Canada's top 50 golf courses as rated by SCORE magazine, and an overall "2nd" place ranking in service. Heritage Pointe is fully accessible to the general public, however, a limited number of corporate and personal memberships are also available on a yearly basis.
