This hilly course is situated high above the St. Mary's River amongst towering ponderosa pines. The design features narrow, tree-lined fairways and sand bunkers surrounding the greens. The signature hole is #12, a 430-yard, par 4, which is very scenic with mountains in the background and the valley in front of you. The landing area is only ten yards wide, and the second shot is uphill to the green. Norman H. Woods designed the back nine, which opened in 1980.
