Madawaska Golf Course opened in 1976 as a nine-hole track and driving range. The course was expanded to eighteen-holes a year later. This well-maintained course is very player friendly. The fairways are about average width, and the greens are medium-sized and fast. This track has been described by the locals as being one of the best courses around. In 2001 a second eighteen-hole, par 61 Sumac Grove Course was added, making Madawaska a 36-hole facility. This course has few trees, no sand traps, no water hazards, and plays 3,251-yards from the tips. Cart rates are based on a two person minimum, single-rider rates are also available.
