This lovely old course was expanded to eighteen holes in 1998 by architect Steven L. Ward, of Golfplan Associates Ltd. It offers a million dollar view that overlooks the Bay of Quinte. Boats of all kinds can be observed from the windowed clubhouse. The lounge is named after Fred Purcell, the head pro at the club for many years. In its early days, men played in suits and ladies wore long dresses. The contoured fairways are fairly narrow with two cuts of rough. A few holes are well treed. There has been an extensive tree planting program in effect for the past ten years and some are now beginning to come into play. The fairways are small with subtle breaks. A picturesque hole is #9, a 158-yard, par 3, offering a serene view of the bay and harbor as you walk down the fairway. All of the tees are rated for men and ladies.
