This facility, situated on a plateau that overlooks a river valley and Downtown Calgary, offers both an eighteen hole and nine hole course. A handful of ponds dot the slightly hilly terrain and come into play on several holes. Generous fairways and receptive greens help the courses play very friendly. The signature hole is #13 on the Eighteen Hole Course, a 498-yard, par 5, requiring a tee shot over a gully. This hole plays alongside the river valley to a well-protected green.

| Shaganappi golf course is a challenging course. The front nine will test your driving, short game and putting. The back nine will challenge your accuracy. The back nine is an uphill climb, so it will challenge your fitness as well. All Shaganappi greens are undulating. Few straight putts. They are usually in good shape. Overall I would say that Shaganappi is a very good golf experience. |
