Course Description
This club features two championship-quality regulation eighteen hole courses, a nine hole, par 3 course, and a three hole practice course. The Magnolia Course is the "traditional masterpiece," and has garnered a reputation as one of the finest courses in the region. Carved out of a pine forest, this course has played host to numerous PGA and LPGA events. The wide-open, undulated fairways feature generous landing areas, with numerous lakes and ponds coming into play. Ample, gently sloping greens enhance the challenge and beauty of The Magnolia. From a hilltop tee on hole #18, this 554-yard straight-away par 5 plays to a well-bunkered green. A water hazard, running along the left side of the fairway from the landing area to the front of the green, comes into play on the second shot. The Holly Course, with its tighter layout, has a greater risk/reward factor. Slightly more rolling terrain, coupled with an abundance of wetlands and waste areas, encourage aggressive shot attempts. The fairways on The Holly play slightly tighter, and the greens feature more break than the Magnolia Course. The signature hole is #16, a 458-yard, par 4, featuring a slight dogleg right fairway that requires an approach over waste area to the bulkhead green. The Azalea Course, which is full of magnolia, pines and dogwood trees, has been described as "the best 90 minutes in golf." With several holes over 200 yards in length, you will use every club in your bag. The soft, receptive greens also make this a perfect place to work on the short game. This facility also features a three hole practice course, The Challenge, which consists of one par 3, one par 4, and one par 5. All yardage listed for this course is approximated. On the Magnolia Course, the 5,362-yard ladies' tee also has a men's course rating of 64.9 and slope of 111. The 5475-yard men's tee for the Holly Course also has a men's course rating of 71.4 and slope of 126. The ladies' tee for the Holly Course also has a men's course rating of 63.0 and slope of 110.
