Course Description	This private resort has three nine hole courses that are played in three eighteen hole combinations. The resort was named to "GOLF Magazine's" 1998 list of "Silver Medal Resorts." The South Course has water hazards in play on eight holes. This course is sheltered by the wind, so it's not as difficult as the other eighteen holes. The West/East Course was built in 1973 and is the original layout. The South Course was added in 1984. The East/West Course is more difficult because the wind is a major factor, and water hazards are in play on all but three holes. "Golf Digest" rated this course 68th under the 1996 category of "Top 100 Courses You Can Play in the U.S." The West Course's signature hole is #6, a 198-yard, par 3, requiring a shot to a peninsula green. You must be a guest of a member or a guest at the Marriott at Sawgrass in order to play these courses.
