Mountain Brook Golf Club -- Fun course has potential
Review by: Jose Kuhn The Front Nine on this course is very demaning. If you survive the front nine you can coast in on the back nine. The greens are not very fast. The course is very hilly and is very senic. On the front nine many holes require a precision shot with the right club.... It is family owned an operated and the rates are very reasonable.... I will play this course again!!

Zebulon Country Club -- Good for beginners
Review by: Todd Stockslager I'm a casual one or two rounds a year golfer, and have yet to break 100. I came close last time I played this course. It kept me interested without punishing me for not being a low-handicap PGA wannabe. It is open, pretty forgiving, and not too much water to swallow errant shots. There are some bunkers but not deep enough to keep you from pitching up onto the greens. It is well-maintained, not too crowded, and affordable.
