Merion adds something to the game of golf that a lot of courses cannot do in that it eliminates the advantage of simply just bombing the ball down the fairway because it is a very short course and the green complexes are incredibly tough also once you get outside of the fairway you are dead. I think this will be an excellent site for the 2005 U.S. Amateur because they are lengthening it to 6925 which will add a large amount of difficulty while keeping it natural to the course. |
