| Review by: Jumbo | It is very easy to get into trouble on this tight course. I carry an between a 17 and 18 handicap at the course and I find it the most difficult in the area. The fairways are hilly and at times a good drive can mean an unlevel second shot. The greens on a dry day are like putting on glass and certain holes like #1 and #4 are very hard to putt. Anything above the hole on an approach can make for an easy three putt green. This is a course where you have to be able to get off the tee at least 220 or you will have a long day. A beautiful course with a lot of character, the Country Club of Ashland is one of two really nice courses in Ashland County. I would recommend playing it at least once in your lifetime! Don't expect a great score on your first attempt and bring a lot of balls with you. The rough and water hazards at this course are known for swallowing them! Good luck! | |
