I'm a member and am always amused when newcomers show up and see the short yardage the course plays.They think it'll be a push over and immediately go to the back tees. If you spray your shots, you're going to score a big number. The scenery on the course is very nice, especially in the fall. The course has produced a ladies and mens state champion so there must be some merit to knowing where your shots are headed. It is a very enjoyable afternoon of golf in the countryside of Hanover County Virginia. Its surrounded by homes, farms, and the South Anna River. |

I think the golf course is in outstanding shape. The grass is green,pretty good for this time of year! The superintendant is a nice guy. His employee is a nice guy. They get the job done! The employees at the clubhouse are hardworkers too. The only backfall I see is, they need more members. Somebody told me they have lossed alot of members. Hopefully they will try to recruit some members this year. If anybody reads this come on over to the country club its an outstanding place to golf,associate, play cards,and have a good time with friends and family. And need to open the ballroom for some events, make a little cash! Everbody is easy to get along with. Giles Country Club does pretty good for the budget they have. |
