Sweet Water Creek Golf Club -- *Good course for area*
Review by: Justin	This course offers a good experience for the terrain that it sets on. It is located on fairly hilly terrain that makes for some interesting shots. The 3rd, 6th, and 9th holes offer a challenge with water. There are only two par 5 holes on the course which the greens can be reached in 2 shots. The course isn't too difficult. A good beginner course. But it is still a very enjoyable course. Offers good scenery.

Glen Garden Golf & Country Club
"History"
Glen Garden is a great place for Golfers of all ages. Playing on the course, it is easy to see how it produced such greats as Hogan and Nelson. They have the classic postage stamp greens. You must be accurate with your approach shot or you will miss the green. It is a great course for beginners as there are relatively few holes where a bad shot will lose your ball. The pace of play is very relaxed and the course staff are over the top friendly. The only down side to Glen Garden is that when it was built it was out in the country (1912?). In the 1950's Fort Worth grew and houses went up all around the course. Unfortunately these houses we small wooden houses and over the years it has become the bad side of town. There have been huge efforts by the local population over the last ten years to clean things up but it will take time. I highly recommend a visit to Glen Garden for any golfer. If you have an interest in history you will find it fantastic to consider you are walking on holy grounds.

Marshall Country Club
"A Great Private Course"
This is a great little private course, that is fun, demanding, but not too tough that the weekend golfer can't enjoy a nice round. It has some of the best kept greens and fairways in this part of Michigan, with lots of wildlife and beautiful views. It is relatively flat, but still a fun course to play, with no tee times necessary. A good buy for the money.

Bretton Woods Golf Course
"Bretton Woods"
I played the course in mid-March as the guest of an IMF employee (the only way to get on). The course was in excellent condition and the greens in particular are superb. It is a fairly flat layout with a handful of elevated greens and tee boxes. The fairways are pretty wide and even if you miss by a bit it's hard to get into much trouble. The challenge is around the greens -- many have narrow openings and if you miss either side you are left with a ticklish pitch, often over sand, to fast greens that slope away. Signature hole is the 9th, a par 3 that requires a good carry over water. When I played (a Sunday afternoon)the course was quiet and we were able to walk, carry our clubs and move right along. A real treat.

"fun and scenic"
this golf course offers a combination of a fun and exciting golf experience with a scenic view throughout the course. there are holes that are looking down at the green from the tee box and then there is a hole where your neck will get sore from looking up if you try to see the pin from the tee box. it will challenge you and force you to make good golf shots. the course will also make you a better golfer
