This is my hometown course so my review maybe a little biased. The Athens Country Club has and will always be one of the hardest 9 holes I've ever played. Tight fairways, small greens, and strategically placed hazzards are the defining characteristics of this course. Holes 7, 8, and 9 will challenge any golfers manhood. |

9 hole course, plenty of up & down hills and shots. Almost every green is elevated so you must hit the green on your approach shots. Par 36 and blue tees make 2 holes completely different layouts.
Even long ball hitters are hard pressed to hit the 2 par 5's in 2. Not bad, worth a visit. Some love it some hate it. Tougher than your average course. |
