This course has no real clubhouse, the golf carts may be old and there may not be much in the way of snacks, but the course is worth it. General Washington Golf Course is very well maintained. The front 9 is wide open with a few tricks and the back 9 tightens up a bit. If you are looking for a place to play on a weekday afternoon, you may be the only people out. Now that's good golf. |

This is a well kept secret. It's not the longest course and the most dramatic. However, the fairways are in fantastic shape as are the greens. Although it is not long, there are enough doglegs to keep you thinking about ball placement and your next shot. It is an easy walking course and for $20 after 1:00pm to walk on weekends, it's a bargain. Water management is great on this course. My cousin and I played one weekend in light rain after it had rained the night before and the course was absolutely playable. I would recommend this course to anyone who wants to practice their shotmaking skills. There are many holes to practice your fades and your draws and your flop shots. |
