Badin Lake North Carolina Golf Courses

Old North State Club at Uwharrie Point

Old North State Club at Uwharrie Point -- Unappreciated Gem
Review by: George Henderson Fabulous Tom Fazio design that is built along large lake. Challenging but fair. A true mountain course as it is in Uwharrie National Forest and Mountains. Up hill, down hill, side hill lies make it a full experience. Greens consistently good. Great views of lake from several holes. Consistently rated as one of the best in North Carolina. Clubhouse and seperate pro shop are top notch. Homes are attractive and do not "canyon" the fairways. One of the nicest total golf course communities I have seen with its own marina for those "off golf" days.

Wildwood Green Golf Course -- Pretty good, but expensive
Review by: AG Played this for the first time recently. Layout is fun with a few demanding holes. First tee is adjacent to driving range so finding your tee shot can be a challenge. Decent facilities otherwise.
