Pautipaug Country Club -- Secret of CT
Review by: Tennessee Jed With lush fairways, demanding par fours and fives, and greens like porcelain, Pautipaug is a challenge for any golfer. Over the past few years, the changes made to the course have been give and take...opening up some areas while making others more challenging. A beautiful walk during any season, Pautipaug has been one of the best kept secrets of private, challenging, well-maintained country clubs in southeastern CT. The staff and Pro are curteous and professional, and the food is excellent. A triple-tee offers members and guests a chance to not only enjoy this food and service, but also to interact with other members and their guests. If you EVER get the opportunity to play this course, be sure to take it.

Alling Memorial Golf Course -- This course is bleh!
Review by: Bill H. Its short easy and boring to play, not kept in good shape and construction begins this summer, three holes at a time to rennovate. Local rules permit the making of your own lie anywhere all summer because the course is is a basen and all the water from rain funnels to the 4th 14th holes. Terrable design for Connecticut and way too easy to be a Westfield Jr. PGA qualifier course. A longer driver (270+) can drive the 5th, 8th, and 9th greens 5 approx. 200 yards and 8 + 9 about 300 yards (all par 4's). The back is a little more interesting but no harder, good scores are a given at this simple and easy par 72
