This course has been renovated since the critique on the home page was written. Ken Dye has built dramatic bunkering on many holes. Several new tee boxes. The small greens are very fast in mid-summer, although a few of the less healthy ones are a bit slower. |

I travel a great distance to this charming course one or two times a year. It's very nice, well maintained, and an interesting layout.
Because it is a good distance from the big cities, it's typically not crowded. We teed off at 9:30 in the AM on a Monday last year with only 5 other cars in the parking lot. Nobody in front of us and nobody behind us.
Of the 20 or so courses I play a year, it is one of my favorites.
The course is listed as private, but there policy is to allow non-members to play any day. The greens fees are incredibly cheap-about $18 weekdays. It is truly the best value in the Rochester area.
Lunch in the restaurant is especially charming. The clubhouse is akin to an old Southern plantation mansion setting on the waters edge. Not ostentatious and not brand, shiny new--simply charming and makes you feel like you are being taken back to a more peaceful, quieter time.
