Excellent par fours that test not only driving accuracy, but long iron and fairway wood approaches. Course will play even tougher later in the year when rough comes fully. Bunkers re-filled with sand. Excellent changes of elevation for a piedmont Va course. Your troubles are not over once you get to the green, subtle breaks make three putts likely from above the hole.
Par fives and par threes are comparatively easy. Majority of par 4s play over 430 yds (some as long as 475). Tough but fair, good shots are rewarded, but you must "bring" your driver with you and know you won't hit too many 7-8-9 irons unless you lay up. |
