Chief at Sky Lodge Golf Course, The -- Bring it on!
Review by: Golfer Jim The Chief is perhaps the most challenging course I have played in northern Michigan. While it is a toughy, especially from the tips, it brings out a carnal instinct in me to play it again because I know that with my new knowledge I can improve my score. The course was in great shape with its bent tees, greens and fairways nicely manicured. The pro indicated that they just lowered the length of the rough, which made a great improvement. Service was also great in the shop. Leave your driver at home and have some fun.

Silver Lake Golf Club -- It's okay
Review by: Ed Davis I like the course. It is an easy way to work on your short game and work on your putting. A long ball won't do you much good here, but sometimes, especially after a rain, neither will landing a fairway. The fairways, due to the water table in the area I suppose, are often in poor shape and can make for some tougher approach shots than you'd expect for avoiding the rough. Still, it's an enjoyable, fun course that's easy on the wallet and tough on your putting.
