Cyprian Keyes Golf Club - Championship Course -- One of the best in New England
Review by: Bill Ryan After playing Cyprian Keyes numerous times, I believe that it is one of the best upscale public courses in New England. The location is easy to get to, the staff treats you as if you were a member at a private club and the golf course is magnificent. It is difficult and some holes are narrow but after you play it once, you'll love it. I have always found it in superb condition and there are always numerous groundskeepers filling divots on the tees and fairways. Your review says that the greens are fairly slow but I have found the speed to be just right and is well matched to the undulating greens. If they were much faster, they would be difficult to putt. I have played most of the newer public courses in Central New England and Cyprian Keyes is my #1 choice.

Wachusett Country Club -- Beautiful course
Review by: Dr. Stephen Peters Beautiful course overlooking Wachusett Mountain and the reservoir. Grounds are very well maintained. Course is challenging yet very playable. Definitely a must for any avid golfer living in Massachustts and certainly well worth visiting from other locales.

Mt. Pleasant Country Club -- Great course wasted on rude members
Review by: Rob Course built in the 1950's with some updating but always in good shape in season. Played in two outings last year (2003) and the course was in great shape. Members I met when I was there had no interest in socializing or attempting to obtain new members from the outing participants. Small clubhouse, pro not on site when we played either time. Very closed to guests so you have to know someone.
