Brownsville Country Club -- Ease of play
Review by: Robert Rooks Brownsville lacks one hole of having a terrific layout. Hole #2 is a par 5 that needs help. Greens year in and year out have been a problem. Hardpan surface and lack of consistant grass make every chip and putt an adventure. Cost and speed of play make it a place to play. Not a course that you bomb away with yout driver each hole. Water hazards throughout the course (7 holes) and out of bounds on 7 holes provide excitement. Definitely a place to see at least once.

Quail Ridge Golf Course -- too much money, too little time
Review by: Played a Sport I Swore I'd Never Play I was to go as a guest... and had to pay the $40 green fee. So I played my first game of golf ever. My husband complained about the fact that I had to pay when I wasn't going to play golf in the first place. I did not like the feeling of being rushed because other players always seemed to be right behind us. And then we would stop and let them play thru. I don't think there should be such a short time limit on each hole. My husband took all of that time just for his shot, and of course it took me alot longer to play since I didn't have a clue as to what I was doing. I also did not like the tees being right next to the property lines of homes. I could not tee off right for fear of breaking out someone's window or hurting those that were enjoying their backyard. My husband constantly voiced that we will not ever go to Quail Ridge again.
