Brunswick Golf Club -- Overall pleasure to play.
Review by: Richard Wallace Wile vacationing last summer on the coast of Maine, I was lucky enough to play this fine course. The conditions were immaculate; the greens rolled true, the fairways were striped out, and the rough was just high enough to cause some problems. The entire staff was very knowlegable, and friendly. My "home" course is Torrey Pines, and while Brunswick may not have the ocean vistas, or daunting length, I rank it as one of my favorite courses to play.

Turner Highlands Country Club -- what a course
Review by: Josh Jones The Turner Highlands country club is a challenge for any golfer. This course is very tough the first time you play it because many people try the driver on some par 4's where an iron will get the job done. Many people also struggle with the tight, sloping fairways and various blind shots that some members of the course can't even execute. It's only weakness lies in it's fun factor; many people get frustrated on holes 5 and 6 where a tee shot right down the middle could leave you in a gulley or even out of bounds because of the awful slopes which are not visible from the tee box. Even though these few holes frustrate most golfers there are plenty of chances to make up for the high scores with a couple of extremely short par 5's and wide open par 4's and 3's. For the weaker golfers, the front tees take many large hazards out of play and make the course play much shorter and easier. Over all, 4 stars is an accurate ranking for this tight course which all golfers can enjoy and everyone will do better on when they know the course and come back for their second round.
