This is a very nice course. It's a bit out of the way, so tee times are usually easy to get. There are various degrees of difficulty, especially on the back nine, where the last few holes criss-cross a lake. There is no driving range, but there is a nice practice green. The pro shop doesn't have a great selection, and refreshments are very limited. But don't let that keep you from checking out this enjoyable course surrounded by quiet farmland. |

Hickory Stix is a truly beautiful course. I live 5 min. away from the course and have gotten to play it many times. I love Hickory Stix because it is nestled in the country so it's a nice course to escape to and play a quiet round. It is constantly kept in excellant condition and has 18 beutiful holes to offer. Greens fees need to come down a little bit though. |

I have played this course many times in the past two years and I love to come back. From the front tees it is a friendly course for the average golfer but gets significantly more difficult moving back on the tees. The setting is wonderful and the course has never been crowded. If you want a round of golf "away from the madding crowd" this is the spot!! Good value too..........oh and by the way the Metwurst are outstanding!!! |
