This golf course was very surprising. set in the middle of nowhere in Minnesota, i went there with low expectations. The front nine is what you would call "nordic" with huge pine trees that give you an aura of being up north, while the back nine is "wide open" legidimate length, and a definite challenge, a "must play" for 2004 |

The course runs along the Mississippi bluffs just south of La Cresent, MN. The frist nine offer some tricky shots - best to have a local around to show you the shortcuts. The back 9 is long for the average golfer and the rye grass between fairways can create trouble when wet. With the large amount of local rainfall this year, the course is looking good and the Friday special green fees make this the place to play. |
