Review by: Timothy	This course has it's fair share of long holes. Some of the fairways are tight. There are about six holes that are blind shots. The course is very manicured. If you are playing in the summer beware of the heat.

Review by: Patrick	A fantastic course with several "signature" holes. The course is well maintained, demanding, and beautiful. Walking the course was an awesome golf experience. I have played over one hundred different courses over the years, several of which are routinely listed in the top 100 in the world; Los Angeles Country Club is in my personal top ten. TimberStone Golf Course
"Worth the trip"
This course is easily the best course I have played. It's on a par with Blackwolf Run and the other Kohler courses at a fraction of the price. This course has a spectacular setting. It winds up and around Iron Mountain, and is a marvel of course design. Despite the elevation changes, only one hole plays uphill. The holes are cut out of the mountain side and winding cart paths take you to the next level, and hole, until you reach numbers 9 and 17, both of which play straight downhill (as does 18, a 600 yard par five with 3 terraced fairways). The grooming is immaculate and each hole is separated from the others by woods or water. Even on a busy day it feels like you're the only golfers on the course. The staff is friendly and efficient and the course is nicely rangered. As you play the course, you will marvel both at the quality of the experience and the incredible engineering required during construction. Rates have been in the $50-60 range for the past several years and its the best golf bargain you can find. This is a course you could play every day and it would remain interesting. The fairways and greens compare with any PGA site. This is one not to miss.

Philipsburg Country Club
"Great little secret in Central PA"
This is a very hilly course that is not too long. The greens are small and will yield many 3 putts if you are in the wrong spot. There are a lot of risk reward holes to make birdies or double bogeys. With small fast greens and the hilly terain, anything around par is a great score the average player with a 14 handicap should expect to play around 83 golf. Well maintaned golf course, good food and service in the dinning room. The pro shop staff is very professional and accomidating. The best thing is the cheap cart(highly reccomend to take one) and green fees less then $40 a player. This is my second favorite thing to do on a Penn State football weekend, of course the Nittany Lions are the first thing.

Crow Valley Golf Club
"WOW"
It may not be the most spectacular looking golf course, but you will not find a course that is kept in better condition all year round. Greens are the truest (and quickest) greens I've ever played.
