Carmi Country Club -- hometown track
Review by: E J Balding Hailing from the fair city of Carmi, this is the "Best Around" for those who choose to stay close to home. Of moderate length, CCC will challenge even the most skilled player a few times throughout their 18 hole adventure. Though only a 9-hole course, the variety of tees will give a different view of the course the second time around. Very well manicured greens and fairways not to mention a staff to keep your thirst more than quenched, I'll give it a solid 4-out-of-5 stars. Here's to you guys...Dave,Herb,Proctor...Keep up the good work. ejb

Inverness Golf Course -- Trickier than you think
Review by: Greg Ellis (caddie) This is a Larry Packard designed course located on the hilly landscape of Inverness, IL. Some players are fooled into thinking that since Inverness is a short course that it will therefore be an easy course. However, the tough greens and hilly landscape make up for the lack of distance. Caddies can and will read the greens for you if you ask. When playing the course you get into the groove of the 400 yard par 4 which pepper the front nine. However, when playing the back nine, the course plays a lot longer and the elevated greens get steeper. The toughest holes are 10, 12, and 15 in my opinion.
