The course is spectacular, both in scenery and in the variety of play that can be had -- from novice to expert. Tom Fasio did a great job, using natural elements beautifully. Watch out for the 4" rough! It is lush and can eat your balls so magically that they can NOT be found. Course management is excellent. Hazards are well maintained as are the fairways and greens. Most of the T-boxes are elevated and the views in the valleys include small waterfalls, hardwoods, mountain laurel and rhododendron covered hills with mountain vistas all around. The clubhouse offers wonderful sunsets and terrific food. Excellent additional amenities like a health club, tennis, practice areas. VERY nice bungalos for lease, nearby B&B, charming small town. Close to Asheville, Biltmore House, Grandfather Mountain, Greenville/Spartanburg airport, Appalachian Trail... We really love this area and this particular course. |
