Cedar Creek Family Golf Center - Executive Course -- The worst experience ever
Review by: Anonymous I have never been so humiliated by not only other golfers but by the employees also. Not only were we accused of messing around but also of being to slow. This is only my second time ever of golfing. If you are not a pro I do not recommend this course as I will never set foot on that course again. I spent 63.00 to do this what a waste. My first experience was at South Shore on the south end of Cedar Lake and it was very plesant.

Riverside Golf Course -- Flat and nothing too flashy
Review by: Dan Wearstler I had been told that Riverside Golf Course was the oldest public golf course in Indianapolis. What I wasn't told was that the course would be very flat and predictable. If you have read some of my former reviews you will know that I am taking up golf after being away from the game for more than 30 years. One of the reasons for returning to the game is to enjoy time with friends, take up the challenge of the game, and to walk/ride the pretty courses in the city. Unfortunately, this course did not provide much in the way of scenic beauty. While the course had golfers of all ages and skill-sets, it had little of the attractions ( water, rolling land, creative course management) that would draw me back for another round. The course did have a very unusual design on Hole 13 which offered the challenge of hitting up a rather large hill to a winding green. However, on Hole 18-Par 3 (your last impression of the course) you are forced to hit your tee shot from an artificial mat that is surrounded by some sort of artificial turf. This area of the course will bring back memories of your worst driving range experience. The best I can say about Hole 18 is that I was in such a hurry to tee off and get out of that area that I placed my tee shot near the pin for my only par of the day. While I am not likely to return to this course ( Indianapolis offers too many other challenging and creative courses), the environment is friendly to those golfers who seek to improve their game and ask little in the way of beauty and design.
