Indian Springs Golf Club -- great golf in the middle of nowhere
Review by: Chuck When I first drove down the highway to this course, I saw such flat farmland that I assumed the course would be pretty uninteresting, but that wasn't the case at all. After about four holes on fairly level ground, the course takes a surprising plunge down to a creek bottom and then comes up to the elevated tee of one of the prettiest fairways anywhere, followed by two more very pretty holes. Thereafter the course runs back up into the flat area before plunging down to the creek bottom again for more pretty holes and finally coming up again for a fine wide par 5 on #17 and a cute little par 3 on #18. When I first played Indian Springs, I had the course to myself on a cool late autumn afternoon, and it was just gorgeous. The marshall and other staff are just as nice as they can be. What a pleasure to have such a fine course for those of us who grew up and now go back to visit in this remote area.
