Not an easy course by any means. Difficult course until you learn how to play it. Pretty open fairways, but water coming into play on most holes. Most fairways are sloped either right or left. Greens are fairly small, and usually soft so they hold easy. |

Recently I had the honor of playing Canyon Oaks Country Club with a SIR's group. Even though we were not members, we were treated as such. From the golf shop to the restaurant, I could find no fault with the course, the employees or the facilities. Even though I scored high, I had a great time. The aesthetics are equaled only by the finest courses. The course challenges every bit of your skill. Absolutely 5 stars.

Just get out there later in the afternoon when it is more open and the pace of play is better. Big Chico Creek rushes through the course coming into play on several holes. Fairly tight, so placement off of the tee is critical. |
