Glen Oak Country Club -- *Challenging But Fun*
Review by: Chet Thomas	This course is challenging but, at the same time fun to play on. When I play here even when I play bad, I have a good time. If you are ever in Clarks Summit, PA, make a point of finnding somebody who is a member and ask them if you can play a round.(The people are nice around here).

Rolling Meadows Golf Course -- *Relax, it's a game*
Review by: nick	Like to play it cool? Try the first nine. Like to climb mountains? Try the back nine. All the while, take a look around. Rolling is the word for it. Its trees represent a cross-section of the area's, with some pines best to keep hidden from New Yorkers seeking a Central-Park Christmas trophy. You don't want any chopped down. Oak, maple, birch, weeping willow and a dozen others, all as if lined up for your outdoor pleasure. Alas, some wooded areas may be so thick (sorry, but everything grows here) that I swung a driver with too much gusto at the sky and into "brush"--that was so thick it allowed no access. It was like a brick wall that spoke, "No way in here, buddy." ("Buddy" is a Pennsylvanian salutation a few degrees short of too friendly.) But hey! With the quiet atmosphere, with isolation enough to communicate with pleasant surroundings (except some brush), and with exercise gently imposed by rolling hillsides, who loses? Dining hall too.

Carolina Golf & Country Club
"Classic Donald Ross"
This course is short in yardage (6200), but plays much longer. One reason is that there are only 2 par 5's on a par 70 track. The par 3's are classic Ross. 3 of the 4 can play over 190 yards to postage stamp greens. There are a lot of down and up style par 4's, but there is also variety. Holes 10,11 and 18 are good examples of tough, well thought out par 4's that demand accuracy and thought. A four is an excellent score on all of these holes. The course is generally in excellent condition and has undergone some minor renovations. You will notice that the greens are exceptionally small, even for a Ross course. Greens are properly protected with bunkers and have just the right amount of undulation. One designer has stated that these are the smallest greens he has ever seen on a Ross course (which may be its claim of distinction among the many Ross courses). There is a premium on iron play and short game. Greens are quick, but not penal. Everyone thinks they can bring this course to its knees, but it usually is the other way around. "Scenic and challenging"
This is a beautiful and well designed course. The course can prove to be challenging for both the beginner and scratch golfer alike. The high grass that seperates some of the holes can be frustrating, so you would be well advised to keep to the left on such holes. During the fall the greens are usually riddled with leaves and twigs so spring and summer would be your best bet. The developer did an excellent job incorporating the natural surroundings into the course. With a tee off the top of a ridge on hole one, to the natural rocks that appear throughout the course, Greystone Golf Club in Dickson is sure to give you the feeling of connecting with nature as you connect with your ball.
