Review by: Don Andrews	DPC Clermont is the highest elevated course in the state of Florida and has truly earned its reputation as the mountain course. It is in awesome condition and the owners have added over 1,000 pine trees this year to add to its beauty...played it on 2/25/04 a day after a 3 1/2 rain and you could not even tell it rained...a must play

Highland Springs Golf Course
"Great couse."
This course is a great example of Ozark Mountain terrain. Flawless greens, oceans of water, and large greenside and fairway bunkers make this golf course a 5 star course. The layout is a bit easier than your traditional 5 star PGA Tour Championship courses. The Nike/Buy.com/whatever its name is this year tour uses this course each year for one of its tournaments and the players always remark on quality maintenance.

Hilltop Golf Course
"TOUGH GREENS"
I live in the neighborhood so, I've played it many times. Very nice course. Be in shape if you're gonna walk it, though, it isn't called Hilltop for nuthin! Competitive rates, great conditon. These greens are TUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUFF. They're fun though, as is the whole course. Lotta trees lining the fairways, so you gotta keep it straight. Not a lot of water comes into play, just a few holes.

Mosholu Golf Course & Driving Range
"ON THE LOW"
I am a novice player (or hacker). I think this is a great place to learn. I don't know anywhere else in the city where you can walk up on a nice weekend and not wait long to play. The POOR DRAINAGE on Hole 1 in the fairway 20 yds. from the green makes this blind approach shot unfair. That and more yardage markers are my only complaints. The greens are well kept for a municiple course. The fairways are maintained well. The long holes, narrow fairways, and blind approach shots make this course challenging even though there are no bunkers and two water hazards. Their practice facilities which include a practice range, a sand bunker, at least two chipping areas, and a putting green is ideal for the novice golfer to work on their game.

Van Cortlandt Park Golf Course
"Nice practice course, terribly crowded"
This golf course offers 18 holes, some of which are 'interesting', but most are far from challenging. It will offer you the opportunity to practice and the course is conveniently located for Manhattanites (take the 1 train to the Bronx). The course will take at least 5 hours to complete, although I usually end up near 6 hours. To many people and the resulting wait time are to be blamed for that, at least in the weekends (I never played during the week).
