While being a relatively short course, the average golfer is challenged by the various type of shots you have to be able to perform to get around this course. From the high flying cut shot into elevated greens to the low punch required to combat the wind on all but one of the par 5's Cherokee Springs is a great course to equip golfers in a wide array of shots. Greens are always in good shape and the ability to walk a nice round still exists here. |

Good friendly service and a great value for the area. A great course for the average golfer. Beautiful setting, well kept, fairly open, and reasonably priced. Also, not too hilly for the area and can be walked without much difficulty.

Chatata Valley has changed so much over the years. The fairways have became much tighter and they have built many more sand traps on the backside. It has the best bent greens that I have ever seen. Joe Starr and his great crew have turned this course around. There is no doubt about it that this is the best course in the state. There is no reason for anybody not to play it. It is always open rain or shine. |
