Winton Country Club -- *Excellent, well-kept golf course*
Review by: Jeff	This is a truly excellent course at a remarkable price. The fairways and greens are kept in superb condition and the walking rate for a non-member is only about $25. There is a three hole stretch on the back nine of some of the most challenging holes including the 12th hole par 4 of approximately 450 yards. Many holes have a beautiful view with teh Blue Ridge Mountains in the background. Even though I live approximately 2.5 hours from ths great course, I make the trip down at least once per month because for the quality of golf, you truly cannot beat the price. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

Broken Spoke Country Club
"Ernie Montano"
For a fast round of 9-holes this course is very enjoyable, and actually quite challenging. The greens are all in good condition throught the year, and so are the fairways. Par 3's range from 90-yards to 205-yards, and the par 4s are long enough where you can hit driver and/or 3-wood. Wonderful practice putting green surrounding water and driving range is also nice. For the price and convenience of walking on without a long wait, it's a winner in my book.

Lufkin Country Club
"Very fun, and inexpensive."
This course is a very well kept secret in the old part of Lufkin, Texas. Not your upper tier type course but cheap for the quality. Fairways are very plush with just a very few spots that need work. And the greens, oh wow, possibly the best greens in the Lufkin-Nacogdoches area (including Crown Colony). It has the very challenging holes that you need to play cautious golf, and then it has the type of holes that you can attack with everything you have. When you finish this course, you will definately want to come back for more.

Deer Run Golf Course
"One of the best courses in the area"
This course is a very mature course with a scorable front 9. The back nine is more diffecult to score on, but it can be done if you take some chances. This course is definatly one of the better courses within a fifty mile radius. 5 lakes come into play not three and there is a large creek that runs through the middle of the entire course. The entire course was carved out of the timber so it is very mature. Over all a good course for a small town.

Webster Golf Club - East Course
"Not Bad"
I am a 16 year old boy with a very high interest in the game of golf. This webster east course is a great challenging expespriance for anyone of all ages. Now there is a catch being that I am only a 16 year old boy the greens fees are just to expensive. Now I am not saying that they should make it real cheap to play there because yes the semi-high fees do create a more civalized playing environment. But if some how there was a junior rate or some sort of way to help youngsters like myself afford to play here.It may open the doors to a whole new horizon on money making stradegies.Thanks
