Colonia Country Club -- Pristine, narrow and challenging
Review by: Chris W. Not a long hitters course. But accuracy is certainly required at Colonia. The immaculate condition of this course is highlighted by the challenge of the greens. No easy test on any of these greens. A straight ball is a must off of the tees. The trees are almost always in play. Par 5 number 4 is a hole to remember. Over 500 yards with a large lake immediately in front of the grren leaves no room for error here. You will either love it or hate it. Par 3 number 13 is flanked by what look to be two 200 year old Willow Trees. An amazing sight when they have filled in after the summer. Don't pass up an opportunity to play this pristine golf course. You won't be disappointed.

Quail Brook Golf Course -- Get a cart!
Review by: Gabriel M [2.5 stars] This was a fine county course. Fairways and greens in good shape despite the fact that they were exceptionally hard and fast due to the lack of rain in the two weeks prior to me playing. THIS IS A CART COURSE! If you're the "like to take long walks on the beach" kind of guy, this is your place. I walked on this day and while the front nine was manageable, the back was BY FAR the longest from green to tee I have ever experienced. There were three tee boxes that required a walk of between 200-350 yds. Lastly, I couldn't help feeling that they didn't take advantage of the natural surroundings. There was water all over the property, yet it only came into view for four of the holes, and even then it wasn't really a factor. There was a ravine that passed directly through the back nine, but I never once needed to hit over it. With a cart and some rain, this course could be quite good, but for an extra $7.50, I'd prefer to play Mercer Oaks.
