Coronado Golf Course -- Great value and good golf...
Review by: C. Moore I have played this course on two occasions, and I must say that for the money there is no better value in San Diego(aside from Torrey Pines). Oddly, it remains kind of a secret among many local golfers I have spoken with. The course plays near the water, with views of downtown San Diego, the Coronado Bridge and the Hotel Del Coronado. Even in San Diego, this course is in a beautiful location. The course is challenging, but reasonable. One caveat: It plays EXTREMELY slow, which I have found is the norm for many course in San Diego. In fact, I have never seen the 17th and 18th holes in the two times I have played. So...get an early tee time. Don't bother to get a cart if you can walk, which is easy since the course is flat. A cart is a waste of money with this course, since it plays so slow.

Canyon Oaks Country Club -- Want a challenge? Play Canyon Oaks if you can get on
Review by: Mike The course is narrow and it can be long depending on which tee box you select to play from. Do not stray your shots as it is not as forgiving and that makes it so exciting to play as it challenges all skill types. If you are playing it for the first time I suggest playing the white or blue tees. The best time of year that I can remember playing is in September/October as the greens run fast that time of year. If I had to guess, I would say they are an 11 on the stimp meter. My father is a member and I play when I visit. What a great time we have and so will you.
