Players Club, The - Regulation Eighteen Course -- Challenging, scenic & fun
Review by: Mark Hanley A championship type course, that's fun and easy to walk. Five different tees for everyone to enjoy. Very playable Westwood Bermuda fairways with a very nice Rye overseed for excellent off-season playability. Greens are large, have adequate speed, but not that true. Bunkers are set away from greens, do not come in to play often, and are very inconsistent in depth and type of sand. Upkeep holds the course at a 4 star, not 5.

West Plains Country Club -- Great Course
Review by: A.J. Wahlquist The West Plains Country Club is a great golf course. Most of the holes are what you would consider short par 4's with the longest, #17, going about 430 yards. It has a narrow fairway surronded by woods and a pond, requiring a long and straight tee shot to give access to the green in two shots. There are four par three's in which two of them are short and the other two require a long iron of about 200 yrds from the blue tees. Number 4, a fairly shot par 5 is a dog leg right requiring a shot over a fairly large pond in order to meet the green in two. This hole is often birdied. Avoid the O.B. to the left and trees to the right off the tee and this hole is an easy 5. The course is filled with O.B., so accurate tee shots are a plus for good scoring. You will certainly enjoy your visit to W.P.C.C. Fairways are of Bermuda. The club has an excellent golf pro as well as maintenance director and staff.
