Allegheny Hills Golf Course

Featured Golf Course Review:
Allegheny Hills Golf Course -- Good, scenic course
Review by: Dave Banks A fun course to play, and probably the most playable in the area. The other offerings around here make the hills more of a gimmick than a feature. Allegheny is simply a nice track through the hilly regions of New York. It is admittedly a bit of a crap shoot as far as course and green conditions, however. But for what it is, it's an enjoyable day of golf. Very affordable.

Eden Valley Golf Course -- good course for beginners
Review by: Joe the Hacker I play this course frequently because it is only 10 min from my home. However, the greens are not well kept and fairways tend to be longer than they should be even though they are cut frequently (my own observation of cutting). Nevertheless, on the front nine the fairways are wide and forgiving. The back nine has some challenging holes for the average player with several water hazards and doglegs. The ninth and 18th holes are long (> 500 yards) par 5 but straight and fun to play because they are wide open. 19th hole could use some renovation. Best time to play, in my opinion, is early (7 am or early) morning.
