Ferncroft Country Club - Championship Course -- Scott B
Review by: Scott Bronstein I've placed hundreds of courses in this country and Ferncroft for a resort club is one of the better places to play! For a private resort the cost of greens fees are perhaps a bit expensive, but you have to willling to pay to play one of the better well run courses in the area! The Bent grass on the fairways and greens are always well maintained. The layout is challenging for a course of just over 6,600 yards from the tips. They've just rebuilt the 3rd Green and 4th Tee. From time to time depending on the season they may have some standing water issues. From what I've been told by the Director of Golf they are taking care of this in the near future with a new irrigation system.

Taconic Golf Club -- A Must Play
Review by: J. Gates The Ross like design makes it challenging, the mature tree lined fairways makes it spectacular, the semi-private atmosphere makes it regal, and the Western New England feel makes it charming. What more could you ask for? The only thing that could make it better would be to play it during the foliage season. I can only imagine it looking like a real life Van Gogh water color! Well worth the trip.
