Los Amigos Country Club -- Fun course. Nice challenge for mid to high handicappers
Review by: Shane Johnson This course offers more challenge than one might guess from reading the statistics. It offers a good mix of ease and danger. The front nine is wide open with the only real danger being the fully mature trees that line the perimeter of the course. Hazards on the front nine are easily avoided and long ball hitters will love the way they can open up with little danger. The back nine, on the other hand, is narrower, tighter, filled with right and left doglegs, and water. Trees play a much greater role on the back nine as do the sometimes hidden water hazards. Big drivers need to put the Bertha away as this nine requires precision more than might. I call this course "The Great Equalizer" because of the challenges it affords all levels and styles of players.
