San Felipe Country Club

Featured Golf Course Review:
San Felipe Country Club -- Nice, but a little more expensive than it should be...
Review by: Anonymous A well-maintained course that can make you forget you're in dry Del Rio, TX. Plenty of trees and clear, spring-fed creeks make this course somewhat challenging, paticularly when combined with narrow fairways and greens that leave little room for error. The course is litttle pricey, however. It costs right around $50 to play on the weekend, which is pretty high for its location and for a course that only has nine holes.

Great Southwest Golf Club -- great course
Review by: Howard This is a classic, old style course that can be difficult. I only got to play it once a few years ago when they were having a membership drive, but it always looks in great shape from the road, and it is on the course. A railroad runs down the middle of the course that reminds of Troon, Scotland (trains don't use it much). Too bad its members only, its worth getting to know a member just so you can get on. Very nice clubhouse/proshop as well.
