Additional Golf Course Reviews:
Walnut Lane Golf Club -- Short, was horribly maintained but getting better
Review by: JW Over the course of a year, this course gets a lot of play and it shows. It seems that many of the players aren't interested in fixing ball marks, replacing divots, etc. The course is very short (par 62; there are 10 par 3's and 8 par 4's) and long hitters won't have much use for their driver. But it's challenging and can result in more than a few lost balls. Most of the course is adjacent to heavy woods. Probably not a bad place to play your first round once you've progressed past chip and putts. But play can be painfully slow especially on the weekends (except maybe during football season when the Eagles are playing). Still, there are a couple of very nice holes (3, 10, and 15 come to mind), and a few awful holes (11, 16 and 17). If this course were better maintained I think it would merit 3 stars because the layout is interesting.
