Hudson Mills Metro Park -- I might change my mind on this one
Review by: Mike I just played this course upon hearing good things but was a little disappointed about what I found. Maybe it was all of the rain lately but the fairways where rather long and the greens were in just aweful shape. On the good side, the front nine is pretty open and with some decent size greens to shoot at. I really should have scored better on the front. The back nine has some pretty holes and plays tighter due to the back being cut more through the woods. One of the back nine's holes was all dug up by what looked like a fox so the landing area from about 210 to 270 yards from the back tee, both fairway and rough, gave you little to work with as far as your second shot. Did shoot better on the back though, go figure. All in all, I'll go back in June or July and give it another try and see if conditions have improved 'cause the layout is pretty nice.

Salem Hills Golf Club -- TRADITIONAL LAYOUT STILL SATISFIES
Review by: STEVE SALEM HILLS IS STILL A NICE TRACK. PLENTY OF SAND AND THE LARGE GREENS ARE STILL QUICK AND A TOUGH READ ON A DRY DAY. MANY MATURE TREES AND SHRUBS CAN COME INTO PLAY. SALEM WAS A PREMIER VENUE IN THE 60'S AND 70'S AND REMAINS A TEST TODAY. DECENT DRIVING RANGE. A BIT PRICEY ON WEEKENDS. MY BEST BET WAS TWILIGHT DURING THE WEEK.
