Sold my membership around 1993 and went back on a reciprocal basis from another private club. Beautiful golf course. Tough !! Fast greens and plenty of rough if you don't hit it straight. Still as beautiful as it was when I was a member only the trees are taller and the rough is deeper. I had my "A" game with me that day and shot an 81. Almost holed out #13, 215 yd. par 3. One of the great holes on the course. The clubhouse has been remodeled again. New additions beautifully done. First class facility with all the amentities. Initiation fee probably close to 90K. Well worth it. The club has spent at least 7 million dollars in remodeling since, I believe around 1990. My rating is 5+ stars.
P.S. Hello to all of my old friends at DCC too and especially John Lopes. |

This is an well-designed, well-maintained course nestled among hills and oak trees about an hour west of downtown Los Angeles. It is a Robert Trent Jones designed course, located on land that was previously Warner Ranch. Many movies were filmed on this location, and each hole is named after one of the movies filmed there. It is not long, but it is a challege. Narrow fairways, oak trees, water, fast and undulating greens. Very interesting holes and pin placements. |
