Other than members of the private Linville Golf Club, only guests at the adjacent Eseeola Lodge may play this course. Exclusive, private club atmosphere. It is a beautiful and beautifully maintained course. Although anyone could enjoy playing Linville, only the expert should expect to score well. Except during the early spring, greens are normally super fast. On a number of greens, missing a putt from behind the pin means your next shot will be a chip or pitch back to the green from the fairway. Typical Donald Ross greens, where position means everything. Hole No. 3, a par 4 crossed twice by a brook, has been rated as one of the best par 4's in the world, a rating well-deserved. |
