Southern Oaks Golf Course -- Can I give it 7 stars?
Review by: Ken Absolutely the nicest staff you will find. I've played 12-15 times and every time I've been there I've been treated like royalty, from the pro shop to the snack bar and the starter and ranger. The course offers short but challenging holes and some that require all you got in the bag. Two of the par 3's must carry over water, while another one has a drop of 50-70 feet in elevation and the other one is from an elevated tee to an elevated green. One Par five is almost 600 yards, two can be reached if played down-wind by the big guns, and the 18th starts off across water and finishes up with a two tiered green at the top of the hill. Your second shots into the par fours range from a PW approach to long irons. The driver is not always the club of choice off the tee either. Some holes require more emphasis on the landing area than the distance (#1 for instance - left is OB and going right adds distance to your second shot).

If I lived closer, I'd be filling out a membership application today!

Golfable Golf Quote of the Day:
" One of the most fascinating things about golf is how it reflects the cycle of life. No matter what you shoot - the next day you have to go back to the first tee and begin all over again and make yourself into something. -- Peter Jacobsen "
